Usnea barbata (Old Man's Beard)

This Lichenized Fungi is primarily used as an antibiotic. It helps destroy cell membrane functions and ATP (the life storage) of bacterial cells, without affecting human cells.
Due to its constituent of usnic acid and mucilage properties this mossy plant can target gram positive bacterias such as:
streptococcus (throat infections, vagina/UTI, skin infections, blood infections, pneumonia, kidney infections)
staphylococcus (skin infections, food poisoning)
TB bacillus (chest infections)
pneumococcus (pneumonia, ear infections, meningitis)
It also contains polysaccharides to help with immune signalling and enhanced defences within the body
